Amina Muaddi’s eponymous label has skyrocketed to success in the past year, best known for its glittering, glamorous heels and recent collabs with Rihanna’s Fenty. But this week, Paris based footwear designer Muaddi ventured past her comfort zone, and debuted jewelry designs and her first ever handbag collection, illustrating the label’s fast-evolving, growing identity within the fashion industry. The mini tote collection is appropriately titled ‘Aminis’. The bags are made up of satin, patent leather, and suede materials with an array of neutral hues, bright pops of hot pink, deep purple and blue shades and some fun crocodile and leopard prints mixed in. The structured square minis come in three designs that all reference a Muaddi footwear design from the brand’s FW20 collection.
There’s the simple and sleek go-to ‘Amini Giorgia’, the ‘Amini Pernille’ which has a chic envelop-closure offset with edgy, shiny gold and silver brass chain handles, and the ‘Amini Gilda’ that steals the show with its range of colorful, sparkling crystal-embellished handles. Amina Muaddi proves once again that she knows how to perfectly balance glamour and playfulness, no matter the accessory. Each handbag design comes in two sizes, mini or supermini.
