Bad Gal Glow

Rihanna had us all in a frenzy this week when she gave us a sneak peek into her newest Fenty Beauty launch, Beach Please, set to release next week. She dropped the teaser via her Instagram stories where we all had the privilege of watching Riri herself give us a walkthrough of what to expect from the coming products. The collection will include two body illuminizers, a body shimmer and an application brush. The collection will become available on April 6th at Sephora and Sephoras in JcPenny.

But honestly, all this talk about body glitter got us thinking about some of our current faves and if you can’t wait until the 6th to get your ~body glow~ on check out these alternatives. A girl can never glow too much, right?

Ready to glow from head-to-toe? So are we.

The Multitasker

Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer$28.00 (USD) 2.0 oz

This is a super lightweight product that can be used on both face and body. Described as a “nude glow” the luminizer blends in evenly with your natural skin tone leaving behind a dewy and radiant finish for that extra “oomph”. It is slightly scented, but not overpowering and when applied the body shimmer also gives off a cooling sensation (a personal plus).

The Splurge

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil – $100.00 (USD) 3.4 oz

This one is definitely a bit on the pricey side, but totes worth it when you’re in the mood for something a bit more fancy. The oil has a featherweight consistency with plenty of golden specks that will have your arms and legs looking sun kissed all through summer. The oil does contain more of a sparkle effect so if you’re going for a “natural” lewk, this may not be your cup of tea. But I love it and it reminds me of the Nuxe Huile ‘Prodigieuse Or’ Dry Oil in Golden Shimmer, but much easier to obtain here in the States, so pretty stoked on this one. Oh, and it smells like Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc Eau De Parfum, but is only fraction of the price. Def a win.

The “Natural-ish” Glow

Benefit Girl Meets Pearl $30.00 (USD) 0.4 oz

Okay, so technically this one isn’t really meant for your body, but it’s too good to omit from the list. The highlighter adds a rich sheen to the skin, and when used on the body, especially the shoulders, captures the light just right for a gorgeous glow. It takes the look of your natural skin up a notch and can definitely be built up to your preference. The product has golden undertones that help balance out the pearlescent finish, which couples beautifully with a brand new tan. The packaging is also super cute and functional making it easy to take along on all of your summer adventures.

The Drugstore Pick

Pacifica Crystal Glow Power Shimmer Body Lotion – $15.00 5 oz

Hot weather can be harsh on the skin: sun, chlorine, etc., all doing their best to dry you out. This means summertime is no time to slack on your moisturizing game. Thankfully, the Crystal Glow Body Lotion is here to assist, the creamy formula hydrates your skin while adding a bit of luminosity. Leaning on the more “natural” side you don’t have to worry about any overwhelming chunks of glitter while amplifying your skin’s natural glow. Additionally, the amount of product you get for the price is a total win and it’s part of Pacifica’s Crystal Collection so it’s packed with rose crystal extracts, quartz powder and minerals. Bring on the good vibes.

The Tiny But Mighty

COVER FX Custom Enhancer Drops $42.00 (USD) 0.5 oz

Use with caution – even the tiniest drop of this stuff will have you looking like the metallic space goddess of your dreams. You’ve probably seen YouTube beauty gurus use this as a base to their foundation, but the drops can also be mixed into your favorite lotion for a custom body shimmer. The Enhancer Drops come in an assortment of colors from rose gold to an iridescent holographic blue – all complimentary to your space buns.

We can’t wait for :

Fenty Beauty’s – Body Lava

The body illuminizers aka Body Lava come in two shades – a light pearlescent rose and a bronze gold, the magical fluffy pom pom full of shimmer is known as the Fairy Bomb, and added into the mix is also a kabuki brush to help blend it all together. Are you amped af for the launch?
