Not too long ago, Isamaya Ffrench and Byredo announced their upcoming collaboration on the brand’s first collection. The Swedish fragrance company is widely considered the Willy Wonker of the industry translatable through his forward-thinking innovations. Working with a like-minded spirit in the new Burberry beauty exec, the pair created avant-garde packaging silhouettes unlike any other on the market.
Despite initial hesitations (and clear displeasure in the industry’s perpetual sameness), Ben Gorham‘s assurance to the prosthetic and make-up artist that their launch would lean more towards the conceptual than just “another makeup brand” opened the flood gates to this creative output.
Shaking tables as they always do, the release of the highly coveted eyeshadow palette, lip balms, lipsticks, pocket mirror, eyeliner and mascara speaks “about self-expression, and about a new way of approaching makeup and colour.”
