Simon Porte Jacquemus one of my favourite designers, opened Paris fashion week this year with a collection inspired by his trips to Morocco. Flowing kaftan jumpsuits, thigh-high slits, giant hats and see-through tops all adorned the catwalk. It was incredibly tasteful.
Jacquemus’ beautiful clothes aside, what the audience was really waiting for was the “special announcement” he had been hinting at on Instagram for the last
few weeks. It wasn’t until the end that Jacquemus came out wearing a hoodie with the words “New job L’Homme Jacquemus”. Indeed, Jacquemus is finally branching into menswear, and we can’t wait to see his take on male silhouettes.
