This is Rihanna’s world and we’re just living in it — the pop star and beauty mogul is releasing Savage X Fenty’s first-ever menswear collection in collaboration with Christian Combs.
Combs is no stranger to the Fenty family. The model, musician, and son of Diddy was only eleven years old when he first met Rihanna at a New Year’s Eve party. After asking for the star’s number, the two stayed in touch over the last decade, ultimately leading to their collaboration. Prior to that, he also served as an ambassador for Savage X Fenty back in 2019 and made an appearance during the live NYFW runway that same year.
“I wanted to create menswear styles that everyone can wear,” Rihanna said in a press statement. “And after Christian did such a great job at the 2019 fashion show wearing men’s, I knew we had to have him as a collaborator.”
The duo worked together to create an 11-piece capsule, with body-positive and versatile pieces that can be worn by anybody. The new collection features vibrant patterns and a thick-banded logo embellished on boxer briefs and trunks, and signature monograms also adorn on a satin pyjama set.
In an exclusive interview with GQ, Combs revealed that the menswear line was initially much more subdued before adding his own spin. “Swag doesn’t come in grayscale, so Savage X Fenty underwear arrives in blue and silky red,” he said. “Even many of the more conservatively colored pieces in black come with pops of bubblegum pink.”
From hues of blues to silky and smoking pajamas, the Savage X Fenty menswear collection will not disappoint. Prices range from $12.92 to $69.95, and the new line will be available to shop on Savage X Fenty’s website starting October 2, the same day as the premiere of the star-studded Savage X Fenty runway show via Amazon Prime.
