The Beauty Looks We’re Living for SS18

This season (as all seasons should be) is all about expressing individuality! And with the hopes of inspiring you all to dare to be bold; NBGA brings you the most avant-garde, yet wearable trends that have emerged on the runways of Paris, Milan, London and New York this season.
. Though we all have our own preferences — personally I tend to go bold or not at all — we have listed a number of innovative trends that’ll inspire your moods and senses. Read our list below and, hopefully, get inspired to reach for the more fearless eyeshadow palette next time you’re doing your daily beat!

PHILOSOPHY

In the mood for some ‘apple cherry kisses’ (as the Nao song goes)? We’re really feeling the deep cherry stained gloss that Philosophy is bringing this SS. Lorenzo Serafini, naturally, knows how to step the allure up any season — and just in case you wanted to channel some Philosophy vibes of your own this summer, why not experiment with W7’s lip and cheek stain, with a coat of Glossier’s Lip Gloss, for good measure? (You’re welcome).

EMPORIO ARMANI

To begin with, Emporio Armani came through with mermaid vibes for SS18. Smokey eyes were given an ethereal touch of silver with emerald lower lashlines, to accompany the models’ ultra-dreamy waves. We’re seriously all

about that ‘crescendo of glitter’ look this summer, so take out your aqua-tinted shadows and take us to the beach already!

BYBLOS

Byblos was all about statement looks this SS. With those dramatic tones of neon orange adorning the models’eyes, this is one for the girls who don’t want to go unnoticed. Makeup artist Terry Barber applied strokes of hi-vis-coloured paint across the models’ lids, expressing that he “wanted it to look like it had been done with a fat paintbrush in just one stroke”. Sometimes, bolder is better — so let’s express ourselves this summer.

MILA SCHÖN

The sandy smoke at Mila Schön was just the touch of warmth we needed, along with nude lips and dewy faces illuminated with highlighter. The look was finished with a thick smear of peach, gradually spread across the lids. You can recreate this look with MAC’s Eye Shadow in Soba, to embrace that air of spontaneity, perfect for a day out.

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

Taking a step away from the classic cat-eye, McQueen brought that subtle but lasting allure of glossy skin with smokey eye this season. Caressed with naturally blushed tones for an everyday French-girl definition, rose-tinted lips with a deep coal smudge-effect, gave way to that late-night / early-morning feel. Why not embrace a sultry air of ‘bedroom eyes’ this summer?
