Christopher Bailey concluded his 17-year tenure at Burberry with rainbow lights beaming across the runway. Burberry is one of London Fashion Week’s most anticipated shows and this year the models sported a new, casual 90’s street style in combination with key pieces from Burberry’s archives. The iconic check pattern, used on several pieces, was recreated in rainbow. Before the show, Bailey shared a post on Instagram regarding his support for the LGBTQ+ community, stating that “There has never been a more important time to say that in our diversity lies our strength, and our creativity.” To finish off the show, Cara Delevingne swept across the catwalk wearing a floor length coat in rainbow stripes and Burberry check.
